The Resort

The off-piste area is considered one of the best in the world with a winter season starting in November and ending in May.

But you don’t have to be a powder hound to enjoy your holiday, Val d’Isère doesn’t forget about beginners, who benefit from a vast sector in the heart of the resort where multiple lifts are free.

The little ones are also provided for, with a specially designated area, sited to maximise the winter sun.

Skiing

Ultra-modern ski lifts service over 300 kilometres of pistes – to an altitude of 3456 metres – and linked with Tignes, guests in Val d’Isère enjoy access to more than 450 hectares of marked ski runs in an area of more than 15 000 hectares, about twice the size of Canada’s Whistler Blackcomb.

The sheer size of the resort together with the state of the art lifts, mean queues are rare, even during the busiest periods.
